Congratulations !!

A real sincere apologies.. straight from the bottom of my heart... A super duperly gigantic big SORRY to Amy for not attending your ceremony last weekend. I'm truthfully sorry my dear. Let me make up to you ... pwease.... *shows puppy dog eyes* Please forgive me.. will you my dearest!! I've just got too much things on hand to finish up.

Here I wish you all the best in the adult working world. If you feel like quiting work, do remember that I'm always here welcoming you back to join me as a student. Then we can complain about assignments again together. =)

My warmest congrates to you that you've finally being able to wear the "square cap" and GRADUATED!! I know you must be over the moon right now.

Not forgetting to extend my congratulations to Yi Yang, Charmaine, Ping Ting and Su Yi as well whom have graduated at the same weekend (but different uni). Good job guy (sorry YY, seems like ur the only guy here) and gals! You've made your parents proud. And make me proud... to be a friend of yours. Hope to see you gals soon and we can catch up and spill me all your gossips and fun stories on graduation day! But I know it's gonna be quite difficult as all of you are working already... and I'm still stuck in uni... *booo hooo =(*

Happy working guy and gals!! I'll be joining you guys soon... =) Till then.. take care!!!!

Things I do when I'm suppose to be doing my reports & assignments

I stumbled across these 2 yummy post while browsing through the few food blogs attached to Potatobits. Yea... things I do when I'm suppose to be finishing up my prac reports and assignments. But I couldn't help myself... and the title of this post from Kampung boy City gal caught my attention... Krispy Kreme from Melbourne! For a moment I thought that Krispy Kreme had landed in Malaysia. Which means I can indulge in my favorite doughnut once a month. But sadly. . . it's just a post from City Gal stating the 10 things she likes about Krispy Kreme. Sigh... that's sad.

None the less, their next entry caught my attention as well. I was longing to eat dim sum, and I've always ended up in SS2 with Mr Potato for dim sum. The dim sum in SS2 is just so so... boleh tahan... not those superbly nice which can be found in high end restaurants. It's just normal, hence I've been searching around for a new dim sum outlet which is nearby to either Sunway or PJ. Guess lady luck was on my side, knowing my cravings and allow me to stumble across this entry by KampungBoyCityGal. This dim sum place is called Hong Kee Dim Sum. Since its situated in Damansara Jaya... I suppose Mr Potato would be able to bring me there for dim sum one day... *hint hint*

I'm looking forward to my dim sum treat =)

Now... I should get started on my work... =(

Week 4

Fourth week into the new semester. . . my very last semester *that is if I'm not planning to continue my studies after I'm done with my degree* . . . and I'm still being a lazy worm going to Uni and back home everyday and do nothing after that.

Lemme recap what have I done so far for the past 3 weeks.

Study / Revision = None
Lab Report(s) handed in = 1 and plenty more to come
Lecture(s) attended = Plenty... too lazy to count
Lecture(s) skipped = 1 class per week (cos of clashes.. not that Im lazy. Just cant be at 2 places at once =P)
Test(s) = None (no wonder I'm not revising yet)
Assignment(s) = Tonnes but only 1 completed
Thesis to complete = NONE

Sigh.. now I know why I'm so lazy. Cos I dont have a test to sit this week. . . nor any thesis to write. Haha. . . not to mention. . my lab reports. . which has been gettin fewer as my years in Monash adds up. Yay!!

Back to writing my report now.. just feel like puttin up some useless unrelated stuffs to the blog. .

~ Theobroma Chocolate Lounge ~

I'm actually missing my Aussie life after coming back to Malaysia. I miss the portion of the food, the yummy fries and ice creams and not to mention the chocolate drinks. *drools*

I miss the good times I used to hang out with my buddies in Koko Black and Max Brenner... enjoyin a cuppa hot yummy chocolate drink during the cold winter day or a cuppa icey cold yummy chocolate drink in a breezy spring nite. How I miss those days and also the drinks.

But fear not... my (and Sue-li's) chocolate craving prayers has been answered by the opening of Theobroma Chocolate Lounge. A week or so ago Sue-Li mentioned in her blog that this shop will be opening on 14th July in 1Utama. Well... guess what.. now I'm updating this blog from Theobroma itself. Sorry Sue-Li... I beat u to enjoy the chocolate drink in this outlet first =D

Fear not... there is also another Theobroma outlet in Pavilion KL. So you can still enjoy it when you feel too stress working in your lab ya Sue-Li =)

The prices of the drinks here are pretty much the same as those in Aussie. But of course after conversion the ones in Aussie are slightly more expensive. But well, it's worth the money you pay for.

A little history on Theobroma Chocolate Lounge. It is originally from Australia. And the outlet is actually located in Spencer Street DFO. OMG! I did not even realize the existence of this shop when I've been to this DFO for so many times. *bangs head on the wall*

Here I am enjoying one of their recommended drinks called Ms Coco Frappe. It contains Belgium Dark Chocolate. Yum~~ I just love chocolates... especially nice dark chocolates *droools* The presentation of the drink is pretty cool. They've chocolate drizzle onto the inner side of the cup and filled it up with ice blended chocolate drink; and top it up with some cream and chocolate shavings. Sounds yummy rite?

Ms Coco Frappe

*sorry for the blur picture... forgotten my camera. So that's the best with my lousy phone*

Taste wise, to my surprise, it just taste pretty normal. Just like any other chocolate drink you get from Starbucks, Coffee Bean, etc. Knowing that it originates from Aussie, I expected it to be at the same standard as Max Brenner or Koko Black. It's rather disappointing. Though the yummy chocolate taste is there, I feel that its not chocolaty enough and a bit too sweet for a dark chocolate drink. Something just doesn't taste and seems right compared to the chocolate drinks in Melbourne. I blame it on the milk they use to prepare the cream and drinks in Malaysia.

The milks in Malaysia taste too watery and bland compared to those found overseas. Even the full cream milk in Malaysia is no where near those low-fat milk in overseas. Sob... I really miss the creamy milk I used to drink everyday =( *now you know why I 's so FAT n ROUND*

But none-the-less, I do enjoy the staffs, surrounding and ambience in Theobroma. I'll definitely come back to try their other drinks. Probably I'm just unlucky to get a lousy cup of drink. But it wont stop me from coming back for more =)

I'm looking forward to my next trip to Theobroma Chocolate Lounge. But before that, I 'm super broke so I need to save up first before the next trip. Else I will need to fast for a month or eat bread everyday in Uni and home for the next 4 weeks. Ha ha..

P/s: Sue-Li... I'll come here with you next trip ok. And Ee Von as well. I promise =)

Bored, Broke & Miserable

I'm so bored... and thinkin' that uni is startin in less than a week makes me even more miserable than the way I am already right now. Why?? Cos exam results will be posted end of this week... more likely tomorrow and I'm so so so not ready to face my horrible, terrible n miserable results. I know I promised Mr Potato that I will get a good result to prove to him and my family that I'm not just a useless kid who knows how to waste my parents' money... but I really really really think that I did not put all my effort into the exams. Although I really tried my best to do my best... So Mr Potato... will you forgive me if my results sucks big time??

OK.. done with miserable... lemme move on to my boring and broke life. Well, since holiday is ending, my life shouldn't be bored anymore cos by end of this week I will be 200++ KM closer to Mr Potato and all my friends back in KL. Then I can go lepak with them. But for the past week my life has been super duper bored. With all my homies missing (all busy with internships or cabut balik uni), I'm all alone in hometown... living a very routine life everyday.. which is made up of .... wake up - breakfast - go to my dad's shop - online - fetch my bro from school - go home for lunch - send my bro to tuition - online - nap - dinner - watch tv til 3am - sleep.

Seems like a very pack and busy day... but in fact... its so routine and bored. No difference to being back in Aussie where my day starts with train ride to uni - attend classes - rush home before it gets dark or the train become too crowded. Somebody rescue me from my boring life... I need some entertainment and fun! Else I'll turn into a super dull girl when I'm already one... Sobsob....

Besides being bored... I'm so broke cos I spent a freaking large sum of my money on gettin my hair straight. Yea... finally I've straighten my hair :D ha ha ha.. Well, theoretically my mom paid for it, but still... that means I will have less $$ from her for my pocket money. Sad...

All the things girls do just for beauty sake. Thinking back.. the amount I spent on my stupid head can actually buy me a Guess bag or a nice MNG dress or another pair of Levi's jeans or lots and lots of nice tops n skirts... Arrrrgh... there goes my shoppin spree money. Gone down the drain. If this hair dun stay straight for as long as it should be... I'm gonna run back to the hair saloon n 'membotakkan' the hairstylist. Muahahahahhahaha. Yea.. I'm evil ;)

Anyways.. enough of blabbing. Here I would like to wish all Monash-ians whom are waiting for their results good luck and all the best!!! What ever happens.. remember that I will still be you friend till you dump me... he he he!! Good luck & all the best!! C ya guys back in Uni. So excited that I'm gonna see ppl that I havent seen for a year! Its great to be back!

Petrol Price Part 2

This morning when i open my office mail box,i received an interesting email from my friend.Since i have been so "busy" lately,i decide to post this email as my last post about the petrol price hike thingy as i dun not wan to waste any more time to talk about something that won't change.

Tenaga stock rose by about MYR1.00. Volume traded in excess of 35 million units.Yesterday Tenaga stock was suspended.

Put these points together.

1. If you know that an announcement would be made on Wednesday that TNB rates will be revised upwards you would surely buy Tenaga shares on Tuesday.
2. If you own an investment bank or have sufficient credit line with an Investment Bank you would have bought as much as you could knowing that the price will surely go up.
3. Since you have to pay within 3 days (T+3 rule), you would have planned to sell on Friday. ?So you could have bought 1Million Tenaga shares on Tuesday and sold it today for a cool MYR1Million profit without paying any money (perhaps some borrowing costs for 2-3 days).
4. Of course none of us are privy to the announcement of the fuel hike, but the family of the PM are privy to it.
5. Of course none of us have a large credit line with an Investment Bank but the family of the PM owns an investment bank.
6. Why the surprise announcement on 05 June when the PM has said that it would be in August ? Well you can only make a big and quick profit if you control the timings and surprise others.
7. For those in the know (the powers that be and their cronies) this has been one hugely profitable week buying and shorting the related shares. The poor rakyat had to queue just to fill up their tanks and perhaps save between MYR20-MYR100.

Now read below..... Need those in know of the basic economics of crude, fuel etc to comment.

WHAT IS NEVER MENTIONED IN Mainstream Media like NST/TheStar/ Utusan/BH are these facts....

Malaysian PerCapita Income USD 5000 VS
Singaporean PerCapita Income USD 25000

Further The Star made a comparison of prices in Thailand , Singapore and Indonesia .
For Thailand it is quoted at RM3.90/liter, however are they aware that in Thailand new cars are cheaper than Malaysia by RM10,000? They pay only one life time for their driving license? No renewal fee after that? Also that goes for road tax as well? And do TheStar also aware that you can drive all the way from Hadtyai to Bangkok on a six lane highway without paying any Tolls ??!!

Whereas here in Malaysia you have to pay yearly renewal for road tax , driving license and TOLLS, TOLLS, TOLLS!!!

For Singapore how can you quote RM 5.20 ? Please quote in Singapore Dollars because they are earning in Sing Dollars. You might as well say Europeans are paying RM10/liter. RM5.20/liter = Sing $ 2.20/liter, still cheaper than Malaysia in view of fact that Singapore is not a crude oil exporter. Are you saying that you fill up petrol in Singapore by paying Ringgit?

In economy, dollar to dollar must be compared as apple to apple. Not comparing like durian in M'sia is much cheaper than durian in Japan !! Of course-lah, Japan is not durian producer!!! Comparing Malaysian durian with Thailand durian make more sense!!

For Indonesia we might say is cheaper there at RM2.07/liter but compare that to their level of income!

Now, let us compare the price with OIL PRODUCING countries:

UAE RM1.19/litre
Eygpt RM1.03/litre
Bahrain RM0.87/litre
Qatar RM0.68/litre
Kuwait RM0.67/litre
Saudi Arabia RM0.38/litre
IranRM0.35/litre
Nigeria RM0.32/litre
Turkmenistan RM0.25/litre
Venezuela RM0.16/litre
MALAYSIA RM2.70/litre

RM 2.70!!! Individual perspective:

As of last month a Toyota Vios would 'cause a damage' of about RM 89,000.
In the international market, a Toyota Vios is about USD 19,000
USD 19,000 = RM 62,700 (using the indicative rates of USD 1 = RM 3.30)
That makes Malaysian Vios owners pay an extra RM 26,300.

This RM 26,300 should be cost of operations, profit and tax because the transportation costs have been factored in to the USD 19,000.

RM 26,300/ RM625 petrol rebate per year translates to a Vios being used for 42.08 years.

I do understand that the RM 625 is a rebate given by the government, but it also means that one has to use the Vios for 42.08 years just to make back the amount paid in taxes for the usage of a foreign car. Would anyone use any kind of car for that long?

Now with these numbers in front of us, does the subsidy sound like a subsidy or does it sound like a penalty? This just seems to be a heavy increment in our daily cost of living as we are not only charged with high car taxes but also with a drastic increase in fuel price.

With all the numbers listed out, I urge all Malaysians to join me in analyzing the situation further.

Car taxation is government profit, fuel sales is Petronas' (GLC) profit which also translates into government profit. The government may ridicule us Malaysians by saying look at the world market and fuel price world wide. Please, we are Malaysians, we fought of the British, had a international port in the early centuries (Malacca), home to a racially mixed nation and WE ARE NOT STUPID!!!

We know the international rates are above the USD 130/barrel. We understand the fact that the fuel prices are increasing worldwide and we also know that major scientist are still contradicting on why this phenomenon is happening. Some blame Bush and his plunders around the world and some blame climate change and there are others which say petroleum 'wells' are getting scarce.

Again we go back to numbers to be more straight fwd

1 barrel = 159 liters x RM2.70/liter = RM 429 or USD 134

On 1 hand, we are paying the full cost of 1 barrel of crude oil with RM2.70 per liter but on the other hand the crude oil only produces 46% of fuel.

Msia sells crude oil per barrel at USD130 buys back Fuel per barrel at USD134. And not forgetting, every barrel of fuel is produced with 2 barrels of crude oil.

1 barrel crude oil = produce 46% fuel (or half of crude oil), therefore
2 barrel crude oil = approximately 1 barrel fuel
In other words, each time we sell 2 barrels of crude oil, equivalently we will buy back 1 barrel of fuel.

Financially,
Malaysiasell 2 barrel crude oil @ USD 130/barrel = USD 260 = RM 858
then, Malaysia will buy back fuel @ USD 134/barrel = RM 442/barrel
Thus, Malaysia earn net extra USD 126 = RM 416 for each 2 barrel of crude sold/exported vs imported 1 barrel of fuel !!!
(USD 260-134 = USD 126 = RM416)

So where this extra USD 126/barrel income is channeled to by Malaysian Govt???????? ?

Another analysis:

1 barrel crude oil = 159 liters.
46-47% of a barrel of crude oil = fuel that we use in our vehicles.
46% of 159 = 73.14 liters.
@ RM 2.70/liter x 73.14 liter = RM197.48 of fuel per barrel of crude oil. This is only 46% of the barrel, mind you. Using RM 3.30 = USD 1, we get that a barrel of crude oil produces USD 59.84 worth of petrol fuel (46% of 1barrel).
USD 59.84 of USD 130/barrel turns out to be 46% of a barrel as well.

Another 54% = bitumen, kerosene, and natural gases and so many more.
And this makes a balance of USD 70.16 that has not been accounted for.

So this is where I got curious. Where is the subsidy if we are paying 46% of the price of a barrel of crude oil when the production of petrol/barrel of crude oil is still only 46%?

In actual fact, we still pay for this as they are charged in the forms of fuel surcharge by airlines and road taxes for the building of road (because they use the tar/bitumen) and many more excuse charging us but let us just leave all that out of our calculations.

As far as I know, only the politicians who live in Putrajaya and come for their Parliament meetings in Kuala Lumpur (approximately 60+ km) are the ones to gain as they claim their fuel and toll charges from the money of the RAKYAT's TAX.

It is so disappointing to see this happen time and time again to the Malaysian public, where they are deceived by the propaganda held by the politicians and the controls they have over the press.

Which stupid idiot economist equates rebates for rich or poor with the cc of the vehicles? An average office clerk may own a second hand 1300cc proton Iswara costing $7,000 (rebate = $625) while the Datuk's children can own a fleet of 10 new cars of BMW, Audi and Volvo all less than 2000cc costing $2 millions and get a total rebate of $625 x 10 = $6,250! Wow what kind of economists we are keeping in Malaysia ...wonder which phD certificate that they bought from...

Misleading concept of Subsidy:

The word "subsidy" has been brandished by the BN government as if it has so generously helped the rakyat and in doing so incurred losses. This simple example will help to explain the fallacy:

Example:
Ahmad is a fisherman. He sells a fish to you at $10 which is below the market value of $15. Let's assume that he caught the fish from the abundance of the sea at little or no cost. Ahmad claims that since the market value of the fish is $15 and he sold you the fish for $10, he had subsidised you $5 and therefore made a loss of $5.

Question : Did Ahmad actually make a profit of $10 or loss of $5 which he claimed is the subsidy?

Answer:
Ahmad makes a profit of $10 which is the difference of the selling price ($10) minus the cost price ($0 since the fish was caught from the abundance of the sea). There is no subsidy as claimed by Ahmad.

The BN government claims that it is a subsidy because the oil is kept and treated as somebody else's property (you know who). By right, the oil belongs to all citizens of the country and the government is a trustee for the citizens. So as in the above simple example, the BN government cannot claim that it has subsidised the citizen!

Take care all.Hopefully this email wil helped u all more in understanding the reason behind the petrol price hike.

Part time anyone??

Wednesday morning when i was going thru my normal routine opening facebook, soccernet and also the Star newspaper.... i found one of the news which is quite interesting..

Part time JOBS

The Gov is suggesting civil servants to take up part time jobs in order to encounter the rising living fees because of the recent petrol price hike. . it makes me wonder..who should we thanked for starting the tread?? Is it YOU our dearest BN??? Now, we no longer enjoy the luxury of resting during our weekends, or spend time with our beloved family, we've gotta move our tired butts off the chair and start looking for a freaking part time job to earn some extras for our miserable pockets...

RAKYAT is suffering and you are enjoying spending the money which DOES NOT belong to you... So STOP wasting money and make good use of the profits that our country earn.We dun need a submarine, jet or a super duper big luxury stadium like those in England... what we NEED is something which can help to EASE our life. Who cares if we have the best badminton players for the next 10 years when all of us are suffering such stupid lifestyle... =.="

Sometimes, even i dun know whether how much better is the Opposition or how much can they be trusted. But by judging the way YOU are handling the country now...i guess..i rather trust a stranger rather than my dearest BN who have ruled us for the past 50 years..i dun know how true the so-called "roll back fuel price or HE stepped down" rumours can be trusted, but at least he will try (I hope, I guess).

And again i remind u all, Malaysia is an oil producing country, therefore it is IMPOSSIBLE the profits that we have earn all these years cant be used to cover our fuel subsidies..

Think of it like this...

Increase in world market oil price = increase in selling price
How much we sell >> How much we buy

We sell MORE petroleum out than buying them.... (for God sake -.-")

You can do the rest of the calculations on the profits we earned. So my friends.... THINK ... THINK... THINK!!!

Petrol Price to be reviewed??..my @ss la PART 1

On 6th June..Malaysia experience another major chaos in its 51 years of history because our dear blind Prime Minister decided that our government can no longer subsidies the current petrol price in our country because of the hiking petrol price in the world market (USD 136.65 per barrel as per today 9th June) that is currently happening (for no apparent reason "NO THANKS" to the US...)

I was reading Tun Dr Mahathir's blog the other day and found a comment which is really sad and touching as a man wrote about the impact of the increase in fuel price and how it has "changed" his family's fate. READ WHAT THE GUY SAID.

Satu keputusan yg amat menyedihkan, tapi kami terpaksa menerimanya. Nak duduk asrama, anak saya nak letak mana pula...tak terjaga. Satu keluarga menangis mlm tadi. isteri nangis sebab dia kena berenti belajar, saya nangis sebab terharu dengan keputusan isteri, anak aku nangis sebab tgk mak ayah dia nangis...terima kasih kerajaan malaysia.... Untuk keluarga yg One Man income mcm saya ni, sure banyak effek... Tariff elekrik pun akan naik tidak lama lagi, berikutan diesel naik rm 1.....ahhh...malas nak pk apa lagi yg akan naik...."

After reading this story, I felt that, not only will my wallet gonna get "thinner", but some ppl's life might also get "thinner". Try putting yourself in that man's shoes. What will you do??

What makes me really upset about the petrol price is... we are an oil-producing country and yet... why cant we enjoy a low petrol price?? What really pisses me off today is the post I read from Rojaks Daily. I found a chart... comparing to other oil producing countries... our country's petrol is the MOST EXPENSIVE among all... at a freaking price of RM 2.70 per liter !!!!

Look no further, the chart below shows it all... ENJOY!!

As you can see... even Nigeria, where ppl are suffering from starvation and poverty are able to enjoy low fuel price at RM0.32/liter compared to our RM 2.70/liter!! I really don't understand why is this happening. WHY?!?!?!

And the funniest thing was about the article in The Star mentioning that our dear Petronas is going to bust by 2018 (1o years from now) if they keep on giving their profit away to invest back into our government. Can you believe that crap??

HELLO PETRONAS!!...IF YOU ARE SO POOR, DON'T GO SPEND MILLIONS OR MAYBE BILLIONS TO SPONSOR FOR THE F1 RACES, DUN KNOW WHAT WHAT CHAMPIONSHIPS, THIS RACE, THAT RACE . . . (ALMOST ALL THE RACES IN THE WORLD GOTTA DO WITH PETRONAS). =.=" DON'T PRETEND TO BE POOR WHEN MILLIONS OR MAYBE BILLIONS OF RINGGIT ARE WASTED ON SUCH THINGS WHICH IS NO DIFFERENT TO "THROWING THESE MONEY INTO THE SEA". =.="

Arrrgh . . . too angry to continue... will continue part 2 (when I've cool down)

Exams exams

It is the time of the year again when everybody has to cramp their brains with thousands and thousands of facts, all for the sake of the 2 or 3 hours papers that we're gonna sit and write our brain, hands and heart out. Not to mention, we're killing lots of our poor brain cells and nerves cells, and aching our neck, back, hand, finger muscles as well as our buttock muscles from sitting 3 hours in the exam hall... sigh~~

Found this cool video. Might be able to help those that are preparing for exams. I so wanna cheat this way, if only I have a scanner and a super cool printer to help me with it. Sigh... nonetheless, I'm not a huge fan of Coca Cola, so it wouldn't not really work in my case =)

Enjoy!! And good luck to those who are preparing for exams.... like me :(
Ciao~

It wasn't easy being with her for this long,as i got a LOTTTTssssssssss of objections from her parents...(the mother was my teacher, and i was such a "good prefect" in school tat almost every teacher in the school can't forget my thick "record")

Talent Show

There has been a boom and lots of “k-ching k-ching” $$$ in the entertainment industry with the introduction of creative reality and talent shows such as Amazing Race, America’s Next Top Model, American Idol, Britain’s Got Talent and lots more.

I used to be hooked in front of the laptop downloading and watching America’s Next Top Model and hogging the TV at home for hours and hours just to watch the latest season of Amazing Race (the US version… not the Asia one cos the Asia one is pretty lame *cough cough*). The latest addition to my crazy TV addict programs list is......

It is similar with Britain’s Got Talent but of course, without meany Simon Cowell. The judges are Red Symons, who plays the Australian version of Simon Cowell (guess it’s a norm to have a mean judge in every talent show… sigh~), Tom Burlinson (don’t know much bout him but he’s way much more better looking than Red) and the very pretty, sexy and talented Dannii Minogue. Best of all, its host by Grant Denyer which is also the host of “It Takes Two” and “Dancing with the Starts”. He’s a real cutie and also a shortie *ha ha ha*.

Red Symons

Tom Burlinson

Dannii Minogue

Grant Denyer

This show is like the coolest talent show ever existed in the television history. And best of all is that Australia’s Got Talent is showed on national TV, not on pay-tv like Australia’s Next Top Model. Australia’s Got Talent is so cool that they accept any type of talents on the show. Be it dancing, singing, whistling, acrobats, and heaps more. What really caught my attention was the performance by these 2 guys using giant slinky. Both of them are really talented and gifted. I really respect them. They call themselves as “Carpe Idiotus”.

This dynamic duo is made up of a singer/songwriter and a performer which has hilarious humour. I find that they are another version of the “Umbilical Brothers” that never fails to put a smile on your face on a dull day.

I shall bore u no more with the facts and let you check out one of their performances on Australia’s Got Talent.

You can also check out more on them at their website http://www.wcp.net.au/

Here's another video, from Britain's Got Talent. The performance was so cool :)

Enjoy & Have a nice weekend ahead!!

~ Time flies ~

How time flies. It seems like it was only yesterday that I had step my foot into kindergarden (a.k.a. pre/playschool) and *pooooff* all of a sudden, here I am doing my *hopefully* final year of my undergraduate studies. I can still remember the first day I stepped into kindergarden, the teachers, Sisters (nuns) and my kiddy classmates. I’m proud to say that I spent my first 8 years of education in a convent. Nope, that doesn’t make me a nun or a religious person, and no, I’m not a Christian *yet* either.

This school goes by the name of S.R.K (Convent). Those who have been to Cameron will surely know where this school is. It has this super huge wording “plastered” on the hill slope where the school is located.

This is the front / main entrance to the Church in Convent

This school is not the average convent school found throughout Malaysia and I bet that this is the most unique convent school there is in the whole wide world. I bet that this is the only Convent school in Malaysia that is still run by the nuns (it was still when I left for secondary school), and I bet my purse on it that this is the only Convent school that is ......

….. ….. …..

……………

……………

……………

I’m trying to make you guys “kan cheong”… pls show some “kan cheong-ness”

.....................

....................

Ready for the answer??

.....................

.....................

A co-ed school!!! Yeap, you read it correctly. Its co-ed!

*just in case you've been too stress studying and cant differentiate btwn a guy and a girl :P*

We not only have the nuns around the school, but we also have orang asli (aborigines) students studying in that school and also guys studying in it as well. How cool is that? See I told you that this Convent is unique. It ain’t no average Joe’s convent school *wink wink*

It is still a co-ed school right up to this very day! I’ve a quite a number of guy friends who either studied there during their kiddy years and/or during primary school. Well, these guys are not gay! I can bet my life on that!! Why? Because the owner of this blog (a.k.a. my potato) is one of them *ahem ahem*

**I think my potato is gonna turn me into a mash potato and hash brown after reading this post. So friends, please do not eat any mash potatoes or hashbrown when you’re in KFC, McD, etc.. cos you will be eating me LOL**

This would probably be how I look like after being bashed, mashed and turned into food.

The reason why it is a co-ed school is because of (i) the small town population; (ii) limited number of good primary schools; (iii) *my guess is that* Cameron folks are just not ready to accept a bias gender school, (but this is so untrue as I made this up :P). What I meant by good school is that, this school has some of the best, brightest, competitive, obedient, athletic and not to mention the richest and ‘politically-powerful’ (cos the parents are politicians or some ‘big shot’ in Cameron) students. And it is sad to say that yours truly doesn’t fit into any of the categories above. *nyek*

There are only 4 primary schools in this small town called Tanah Rata, which is the main town for Cameron cos there’s where the banks, hospital and government offices are located. There is a Chinese school, Tamil school and 2 kebangsaan schools – SRK Convent and SRK Tanah Rata (SRK T.R.) (I suppose they couldn’t come up with some fancy name… LOL).

Well, these two kebangsaan schools are very competitive among each other, so much so that, when I was still studying there, we were ‘brain-washed’ by our peers and seniors that everybody from SRK T.R. are our enemies. This was so bad that I couldn’t help myself but to hate everybody from that school as well. We’ll call them names or bitch about them when they win some tournaments and steal the trophy from our school. We’ll call them liars, cheaters, and the judges/referees are being biased or being blackmailed by the school. Ha ha… those good old days~.

I used to *not hate them* just don’t really fancy them as my friends until I went to secondary school, where I finally see what true friends meant. Not only did we become good friends with few of those from SKTR, there were practically the only people that would mix around with us. (‘We’ / ‘Us’ are referring to my best friend and me). Why?

I shall spare you guys the agony of reading a super long post. I shall continue it next time =)

Ciao~

Singapore true Story.....from an unknowned source

A certain rich businessman had a beautiful daughter, who fell in love with
a guy who was a cleaner.

When the girl's father came to know about their love, he did not
like it at all, and so began to protest about it.

Now it happened that the two lovers decided to leave their homes
for a happy future. The girl's father started searching for the two
lovers but could not find them.

At last, he accepted their love and asked them to come back home in a local
newspaper. Her father said 'If you both come back I will allow you to marry.
I accept that you love each other truly.'

So in this way, their love won and they returned home.

The couple went to town to shop for the wedding dress. He was
dressed in a white shirt that day. While he was crossing the road to the
other side to get some drinks for his fiancee, a car came and hit him and
he died on the spot. The girl lost her senses. It was only after some time
that she recovered from her shocked. The funeral and cremation was the very
next day as he had died horribly.

Two nights later, the girl's mother had a dream in which she saw an old
lady. The old lady asked her mother to wash the blood stains of the guy
from her daughter's dress as soon as possible. But her mother ignored the
dream.

The next night her father had the same dream, he also ignored it.

Then when the girl had the same dream the next night, she woke up in fear
and told her mother about the dream. Her mother asked her to wash the
clothes which have blood stains immediately.

She washed the stains but some remained. Next night she again had the same
dream she again washed the stains but some still remained.

Next night she again had the same dream and this time the old lady gave her
a last warning to wash the blood stain, or else something terrible will
happen. This time the girl tried her best to wash the stains, and the
clothes nearly tore, but some stains still remained.

She was very tired.

In the late evening the same day while she was alone at home,
someone knocked the door. When she opened the door she saw the same old
lady in her dream standing at her door.

She got very scared and fainted.

The old lady woke her up... and gave her a blue object, which
shocked the girl.. She asked 'What is this...?'

The old lady replied...

'Aiyaa....try DYNAMO Liquid Soap... just a dab and it will remove all
stubborn stains !!!' ...........

A very special day. . .

A day like this don’t come by so often. In a matter of fact, such day only comes every one thousand days. What am I blabbing about? It’s my 1000th day anniversary with my beloved darling (potato). How can I not include such a yummy nick name of my dearest into this serious post.

I can’t believe that it has been 1000 days already since we first start dating. It feels like it was just yesterday, that we’ve been trying to sort out the problems we had, deciding which path to walk on – to continue on with the stressful relationship or just to give up. I’m very grateful that we’ve stayed on for so long. Never would I have imagined that such memorable day would occur in my life.

Being my boyfriend for the past 1000 days must have been very stressful job for you. Constantly being targeted by ‘you-know-who’ and keeping up with my tantrums. You are a real miracle worker (not saying that you’re my servant ok! :P) Thanks for being such a wonderful companion accompanying me through the toughest days in my life. Thanks for always being there for me. You never failed to make me happy everyday, no matter how down I am. You’re always full of ideas and ways to turn a choppy sea into a calm, gentle flowing river.

I love you so much!! In another 3 months time we’ll be celebrating our 3rd year being together. I’m so looking forward to it. Finally, we can spend such occasions together, no longer separated by distance. Happy 1000th day anniversary to you my darling!! Looking forward to spending thousands and thousands of days with you in the future.

Love you lots... your potato, Junie :P
